Reload the tab if you installed or updated Lullula while it was open. Then click the Lullula toolbar icon — the popup shows whether the site is on your blocked list and lets you unblock it. Some pages are excluded by design: banking and payment pages for safety, video sites, and app-style pages with almost no readable text.

Check your system volume and output device first. Free playback uses your browser's built-in speech engine, so if a built-in voice is misbehaving, open Settings → Voices and pick a different one — or try a premium voice, which streams as regular audio.

Free includes unlimited listening with built-in browser voices. Sign in and you also get 2,000 words of premium AI voice each month, with AI summaries drawn from the same allowance; without an account you get a one-time premium-voice trial of 2,500 characters (about 500 words), plus a separate allowance for 10 AI summaries. Lullula Pro raises the monthly allowance to 200,000 words, whether you pay monthly or yearly. Full details on the pricing section.

Sign in at app.lullula.io, open Membership, and choose Manage subscription — it opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel in two clicks. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Lullula reads text-based and scanned PDFs, and DRM-free EPUBs. Clean, printed scans work best, and the first scanned PDF takes a little longer while the recognizer downloads. EPUBs bought with DRM (most store-bought ebooks) can't be opened. If a file still fails, send us the file or a link and we'll dig in.

On Chrome and Firefox, open Lullula's settings, go to Voice providers and add your API key for ElevenLabs, OpenAI (or an OpenAI-compatible service), Azure Speech, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, Amazon Polly or Alibaba Cloud Qwen-TTS. That provider's voices then join the voice list: filter by Own key in Settings, or open the Mine tab in the player's voice picker. The key is stored only in your browser, never sent to Lullula. No Lullula account or allowance needed for these voices; your provider bills you directly. The Edge Add-ons version doesn't have Voice providers yet. Our setup guide covers each provider and what its error messages mean.

Sign in, then press Listen later in the player (on Edge, the Bookmark star). The page is saved to Listen later in your library at app.lullula.io, where you can play it whenever you like. On Chrome and Firefox, a premium plan prepares its audio ahead of time; on the free plan the web app plays it with your device's own voice.

On Chrome and Firefox, yes: switch on Show what wasn't read in the player. Lullula outlines passages it left out on the page and lists why, such as references or promo lines. It may not mark every passage it skipped. To hear a part it left out, select the text, right-click and choose Read Selected Text, and tell us the page so we can take a look.
